Preparation is key when it comes to making the switch to hot wax. It is essential that your chain, new or used, is fully degreased so the wax adheres properly. By using the Striptease chainstripper in combination with the Shake-It-Off container, you are ensured a spotless chain. For maximum degreasing power and convenience, us our Super Sonic ultrasonic cleaner.
Not only the chain should be fully degreased. Also the rest of your drivetrain needs to be completely free of any grease or oil. With Drivetrain Detox and a Drivetrain Detaling Brush this is done in a matter of seconds.
If you want to skip the prep work, you can consider the Wander Chain. This is a chain that comes pre-waxed with our Wander Wax, ready to ride right out of the box.

Yes, you can switch from oil to wax and even use that same oiled chain.
The most import step is to thoroughly degrease that chain. The best way to do this is with Striptease in our Shake-It-Off container. Then rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary.

You need 3 bars of wax so that the chain is fully submerged
Yes, you can use wax 10 -15 times. When you're finished your waxing session let the wax dry and store in the waxifyer.
You use approximately 4 grams for a chain with 120 links.
