Description

Wander Chain is a pre-waxed, ready-to-ride bike chain for every rider chasing pro-level performance from the very first pedal stroke. Each chain has been ultrasonically cleaned and professionally hot-waxed by our Dynamic mechanics using our most durable hot-wax formula. That means ultra-low friction, a spotless drivetrain and serious durability. Straight out of the box.

We get our hands dirty so you can ride clean (don’t worry, we love doing it).

Application
  1. Make sure your drivetrain (cassette, derailleur wheels, and sprockets) are fully degreased and clean.
  2. Adjust the chain length with a chain tool.
  3. Install the chain and secure the included quick link using chain pliers.

When you buy a new chain, it is coated in factory grease. This grease is used for safe transport and storage but is not meant to be used as a lubricant. It attracts sand, dust, and grime while offering poor lubrication. Not fun. If your chain isn’t fully stripped of factory grease before waxing, wax won’t bond well. You’re losing watts from day one. Not fun at all. Wander Chain skips all of that, it’s ready to ride straight out of the box. Our Dynamic mechanics have professionally degreased and hot-waxed the chain, priming it for efficiency and maximum durability. Wander Chain is highly dirt-repellent, keeping your drivetrain clean even during the filthiest rides. Maximum durability for your entire drivetrain. The wax on the Wander Chain lasts up to 1000 km in good weather conditions. As soon as the chain feels or sounds ‘dry’, it’s time to reapply wax. For the best performance and longest lifespan, hot waxing is the best choice. Since your Wander Chain is already hot waxed, there’s no need to degrease; just reapply hot wax. Need a quick fix? Give your Wander Chain a top-up with one of our drip waxes: Slick Wax or Speed Potion Wax.

Which wax should I use to re-wax my Wander Chain?
The Wander Chain is hot-waxed with Wander Wax, but you can use both Hyper Wax or Wander Wax to re-wax your Wander Chain.
Which tools do I need to re-wax my Wander Chain?
To re-wax your Wander Chain, you should use the Waxifyer Set, which includes the Waxifyer, Drip Dock, Chain Couplers + hot wax (Hyper or Wander Wax).
