Ik mocht van Dynamic de nieuwe Hyper kettingwax uitproberen. :-) De wax verschilt van de wax waarmee ik voorheen mijn kettingen heb gesmeerd. 1. De wax is dun aangebracht vrijwel kleurloos. 2. Hij is zeer zacht waardoor de kettingschakels na te zijn gewaxt snel loskomen en de ketting na montage al snel soepel loopt. 3. De wax stolt zeer snel. Dit zorgt ervoor dat er wat meer wax dan ik persoonlijk nodig acht aan de buitenkant van de ketting blijft zitten, in plaats van dat het overschot er grotendeels afdruipt. De overtollige wax verlies je nu tijdens het fietsen. 4. Je moet de ketting maar liefst 15min in de wax onderdompelen voor een goed resultaat. Dat maakt het snel achter elkaar waxen van meerdere kettingen -iets dat ik zelf graag doe- in een kleine verwarmer lastig. Laat staan eentje zonder thermostaat.
Je kan de Dynamic wax combineren met zowel de Dynamic Wander wax als mijn favoriete vloeibare wax, de Slick Wax van Dynamic. Hoe lang de wax meegaat en hoe soepel die loopt, tsja, dat is van zoveel factoren afhankelijk en voor een consument lastig objectief vast te stellen. Ik kan wel met zekerheid zeggen dat als je het geduld hebt om een ketting 'ultraschoon' te maken en in 15min te waxen Dynamic nu een mooie wax in haar productportfolio aanbiedt. Daarmee rijd je met een schone, goed gesmeerde ketting die geen vuil aantrekt.
ENG: 'Hyper wax put to the test!
I had the chance to try out Dynamic's new Hyper chain wax. :-) This wax is different from what I've used before to lubricate my chains.
The wax is applied thinly and is nearly colorless.
It's very soft, which allows the chain links to loosen quickly after waxing, and the chain runs smoothly shortly after installation.
The wax hardens very quickly. This means that a bit more wax than I personally prefer stays on the outside of the chain instead of dripping off, so the excess is lost while riding.
You need to immerse the chain in the wax for a full 15 minutes for the best results. This makes waxing multiple chains in quick succession—something I like to do—a bit tricky in a small heater, especially one without a thermostat.
You can combine the Dynamic wax with both the Dynamic Wander wax and my favorite liquid wax, the Slick Wax from Dynamic. How long the wax lasts and how smoothly it runs depends on so many factors, making it hard for consumers to assess objectively. However, I can say with confidence that if you have the patience to make a chain 'ultra-clean' and wax it for 15 minutes, Dynamic now offers a great wax in its product portfolio. This means you'll be riding with a clean, well-lubricated chain that doesn't attract dirt.'
Na vorig jaar de stap te hebben gezet naar waxen, deze wax kunnen gebruiken.
Het aanbrengen van de wax verliep zoals verwacht. Gewoon laten smelten tot de gewenste temperatuur en dan de ketting, die ik eerst gekookt heb om zo proper mogelijk te krijgen na de vorige waxbeurt, in de wax leggen en wat één en weer bewegen zodat het overal tussen kruipt.
Na het koelen moet de ketting wat gebroken worden, want de wax wordt terug hard uiteraard. Daar merkte ik een groot verschil op met mijn eerdere ervaringen. De wax brak gemakkelijker.
Nadien merkte ik hetzelfde op de fiets zelf. Veel minder residu en ook meteen bijna van de start geen enkel geluid. Echt muisstil en vooral soepel.
De eerste ketting was deze van mijn MTB. In de huidige drogere condities was er veel opvliegend stof en hier en daar een verdwaalde modderpoel. Zo kwam er best veel stof en soms wat modder op de ketting.
Met olie is dat gegarandeerd een plakkerige, smerige boel. Na enkele ritten, met deze bewust niet te kuisen, hangt er werkelijk niets aan.
Qua snelheid: Ik ben geen topatleet, ver van, dus ik kan dit moeilijk bevestigen, maar aangezien de ketting zo lekker loopt en geen enkel vuil aantrekt, kan ik dit best geloven. Het doet er mij niet echt toe, voor mij moet het lekker lopen en even meegaan. EN dat doet het met gemak!

ENG: Quick and silent, simply top-notch. After making the switch to waxing last year, I got to use this wax.
Applying the wax went as expected. Just melt it to the desired temperature and then place the chain, which I first boiled to clean as much as possible after the previous waxing, in the wax and move it around a bit to ensure full coverage.
After cooling, the chain needs to be broken in, as the wax obviously hardens again. I noticed a big difference compared to my earlier experiences. The wax broke more easily.
Later, I noticed the same on the bike itself. Much less residue and almost no noise from the start. Really silent and above all, smooth.
The first chain was from my MTB. In the current drier conditions, there was a lot of flying dust and here and there a stray mud puddle. So, quite a bit of dust and sometimes some mud ended up on the chain. With oil, that’s guaranteed to be a sticky, messy situation. After a few rides, intentionally not cleaning it, there’s really nothing sticking to it.
As for speed: I'm not an elite athlete, far from it, so I find it hard to confirm this, but since the chain runs so smoothly and doesn’t attract any dirt, I can definitely believe it. It doesn’t really matter to me; I just want it to run smoothly and last a long time. And it does, with ease!

Na al langere tijd tevreden te zijn met producten van Dynamic Bike Care, ben ik blij dat ze nu ook een ketting wax aanbieden. Ik ben, via een drip wax, overgestapt van olie naar deze "Hyper Wax". Mijn eerste rit met de wax op de ketting verliep zoals in de beschrijving van het product: in het begin was de ketting nog wat stug en lawaaierig, maar na ongeveer 15 minuten werd deze steeds stiller en schakelde hij heel soepel. Na meer dan 200 kilometer op de weg is de ketting, en wat stukjes gravel, nog steeds super stil en bij simpel afnemen met een microfiber doek nauwelijks vuil. Ik weet niet of ik er veel sneller mee ga, maar ik ben erg tevreden met de eerste resultaten. Schoon, stil en minder tijd en moeite nodig voor schoonmaken. Benieuwd hoe deze wax zich houdt bij natte omstandigheden straks in het najaar; wellicht probeer ik dan ook eens de 'Wander Wax', mocht dat nodig zijn.
ENG: Very satisfied with the Hyper Wax. After being happy with Dynamic Bike Care products for a while, I'm glad they now offer a chain wax. I switched from oil to this 'Hyper Wax' via a drip wax. My first ride with the wax on the chain went as described: the chain was a bit stiff and noisy at first, but after about 15 minutes, it became quieter and shifted very smoothly. After over 200 km on the road, the chain remains super quiet and clean. I'm curious how it will perform in wet conditions this fall; I might try the 'Wander Wax' then if needed.
Used for the first time hyper hot wax , when you follow the instructions it is easy in use, it take some time to fix it but the result is there of also great , the chain stays cleaner and runs moor smoothly . How meany time its stays that way is for the moment an open question. Like always the Dynamic products made a big positive different on your bike
