2020 will always be remembered as a strange year in pro cycling with all large three-week stage races happening within a 71-day window. At the start of the Tour de France, a lot was unknown and nobody knew if the teams would reach Paris. There was no time to relax for the teams as this race was immediately followed by the Giro d’Italia and la Vuelta de España.

As official partner in 2020, Dynamic supplied EF Pro Cycling with all bike care essentials to keep the bikes in top condition. Making it possible for the cyclists to perform at their best. Let’s take a look at the highlights of EF Pro Cycling in this short pro cycling season!

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the start of the Tour de France was postponed to late August. Nevertheless, the team did a very good job in this edition. Highest in the general ranking is Rigoberto Uran with an overall 8th place.

The most spectacular day for EF Pro Cycling was probably stage 13. Dani Martínez was in the breakaway group and battled with 2 others on the steep final climb for the win. The Colombian cyclist overpowered his competition and claimed the victory for EF Pro Cycling!

The Giro is always spectacular to watch. Especially this year with the special kit of EF pro Cycling. The ducks definitely stand out in the peloton!

After only three days we could celebrate the first win: Jonathan Caicedo won the uphill climb of stage 3! It’s the first Grand Tour stage win for the national champion of Ecuador. After stage 9 it was time for another celebration by team EF Pro Cycling: Ruben Guerreiro wins a stage and takes the lead in the mountain classification. Winning the mountain classification isn’t easy: After losing the jersey and getting it back, Guerreiro managed to claim the win in the mountain classification after three weeks of racing.

Only 71 days after the start of the first stage of the Tour de France, the pro cycling season ends in Madrid. There was no better way to finish this short season with the first general classification podium of the Vuelta in the history of EF Pro Cycling. The Vuelta ends with a 3th place for Hugh Carthy!

In total, the cyclists of EF Pro Cycling managed to win three stages. Michael Woods takes the first victory for the team in stage 7. Probably the most memorable stage win was stage 12. Hugh Carthy managed to win the epic climb of L’Angliru. Last but not least, Magnus Cort won stage 16.
